3 hours! dang your fast. I have to block out entire days to do my detail... Annoyingly i cant do a legit carwash in under 2 hours. I just cant. My body will be upset come winter tho.

Hows the paint holding up on you? curious to see how the new era paint stands up against washing.

Its pretty good. Although, with the crappy cleaning supplies I have there are very tiny scratch marks. I need to get better things to clean this car with, and clay bar.

It generally takes an 1 and a half to clean the car, and then another 1 and a half to put on polish and wax.

Just get some of the microfiber cleaning things on amazon. I got a bunch of decent stuff and it wasnt so bad. A bottle of quick wax, and quick detailer spray work rather well for black rubber spots, tree junk, and bird presents.

And dang, i think i must be terribly slow at polishing and waxing.. Do you use a tool? or by hand?

I do it by hand, and by the end my arm is pretty damn sore. I am pretty much in a hurry everytime I decide to clean my car. This time, it was supposed to rain. Luckily I made it!

It will be better than the 5 dollar back I bought. The towels feel rough. . . which is never a good thing.

to give you an idea, i got these for general use, washing jams and gas filler, and trial error stuff. And to remove polish and wax.

http://www.amazon.com/Eurow-Microfib…

Then i also got these really nice ones for when i do a clay bar, then wax. So ive yet to actually open them up haha.

Then get a ton of these things.

http://www.amazon.com/Viking-Cotton-…

These things arent the most expensive ones, but they arent the cheapies either. The red towels have almost no lint. If you wash them first im sure there wont be any. However, when i have them in a bucket of soapy water, it tints the water red, so the dye is present. They wash up nice though.

My current dilema is how to dry the car properly. Right now i have that Absorber

http://www.amazon.com/Absorber-Synth…

And i strictly use it on painted panels. To minimize contamination, but i dont know what is better, because its still moving across the paints surface...

Oh my god, those look so soft. I just want to sleep on them. I really want these. You know that feeling, when you know you are messing the paint up. That is me every time I dry. Although I got wheel cleaning donw.

haha yea i know that feeling. just remember, never use a paper towel on your paint. And my wheels are the one thing i honestly dont care about properly cleaning at the moment, because they will get re done eventually.

Phew, I never used a paper towel. . . yet.

Also, when I upgrade the wheels, I am going to have to be more careful. I don't want to ruin those things. Although wheels are pretty resilient

Lol. i may have had to use a paper towel once. i hated every second of it.

Yeah, i feel like i can be ignorant to wheels. Except if theyre polished, thats a whole other ballgame. Other than that, ill use my heavy weapons on those suckers.

I wonder what the matte/semi-gloss cleaning procedure is, I have heard it is harder than gloss.
